Genny Dupre serves as the Business Operations Manager. She and her team are responsible for all business aspects of operating the Bureau. They perform budget, CAD/Radio support, timekeeping, payroll and HR functions, research support, purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Genny also serves as the Bureau's liaison with other City bureaus and service providers like Facilities, Security, Custodial Services, BTS, and BTS/Communications.
Genny believes that the best part of her job is the pride she has in working for 9-1-1, knowing that BOEC is the best Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in the country with the most highly skilled and trained employees and supervisors who truly care about what they do and the people they serve. On the flip side, she says the worst part of her job is struggling with the shortages in staffing and funding that prevent us from doing and being the best that we can be and the stress and strain that those limitations put on everyone.
Genny and her team support Operations by providing resources, supplies, equipment and furniture to meet the demands of our operations staff. The Admin Team strives to be responsive to all of our employees whatever the need and the Team prides themselves in being customer service oriented.
She currently serves on the BOEC Health and Safety Committee and the City's Wellness Committee and Chair Contract Committee. She is BOEC's representative on the City's EBS Project serving as the Change Agent and as the Sponsor on the Policy Advisory Committee and also oversees the Bureau's Sustainability efforts.
She enjoys her job, and most importantly, she enjoys working with the employees at BOEC. She takes a lot of pride in her team and the job they perform every day. She believes her contributions make a difference and she is constantly striving to learn more about what we do and how to improve upon it. Finally, she approaches each day as a new day and looks forward to the challenges it will bring.
