Gary Bevans, Senior Financial Analyst

Gary Bevans is BOEC's Senior Financial Analyst.  This means that he lives and breathes numbers - especially our budget numbers.  Basically, he is responsible for making sure that we manage the cash we are given at the beginning of the fiscal year (July 1st) well enough that it lasts all the way through to the end of the fiscal year (June 30).  Some of the fun stuff this involves includes things like: budget development and submission; budget monitoring via BuMP processes; cash flow monitoring; SAP report review; journal entry approval within SAP, financial processing related to BuMP activity; accounts receivable processing for User Board charges, Port of Portland, Public Safety System Revitilization Project (PSSRP), Master Street Address Guide (MSAG), and special project cost recovery; grant accounting and purchase financing; and other special purchase acquisitions or special projects.  To add variety to his life, Gary also gets to spend some time going to meetings, working on contracts, and managing various special projects for the Bureau.
