Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and with the City of Portland's world renowned neighborhood system.  The Calendar of Events is where you will find information about upcoming neighborhood meetings, community events and volunteer opportunities.  Events are listed by district so you can look at all the events going on in the city or just for your part of town. 


ONI Blog will give you the latest news regarding the City's Office of Neighborhood Involvement as well as other items of interest to community members involved in the neighborhood network or if you prefer you can get this same information by following us on Facebook or Twitter.   News in the Neighborhoods will connect you to the Neighborhood Coalition's websites for news and information particular to their geographic area of the city.

    U.S. Rep. Blumenauer, Commissioner Novick and Oregon Rep. Vega Pederson to dedicate new East Portland pedestrian safety beacons Sept. 2nd

    As efforts continue to increase funding for longstanding transportation safety and maintenance needs throughout Portland, officials are holding a news conference showcasing new pedestrian flashing beacons in East Portland. The safety beacons were made possible by state funding secured last spring and are being activated, as promised, by the start of the school year. An additional 12 will be installed over the next few months.

    Making A Difference Awards 2014

    Join us in celebrating individuals and groups in the community that have made a positive difference to the disability community. Tuesday, October 14th at the Double Tree Lloyd Center.

    2014 Spirit of Portland Awards nominations being accepted thru September 12th

    Nominations are now being accepted for the 30th annual Spirit of Portland awards. If you know of an individual or group who has helped make Portland a better place tolive, work, study, pray or play, please nominate them for one of the 2014 awards.

    The epidemic in our midst: Painkillers, opioids and heroin

    What: Learn why opioid addiction has soared to epidemic proportions. A panel of experts will present the latest information about Oregon’s opioid crisis and discuss strategies to overcome this public health epidemic. When: Thursday, Oct. 2, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Where: Oregon Health & Science University Old Library Auditorium, 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland Cost: Free. Event sponsored by the Center for Public Advocacy, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
