Forest Park: Lower Macleay Field Headquarters

Site Description

Meet at the No Ivy League's Field Headquarters in beautiful Forest Park! We will speak briefly about the history of Forest Park, The No Ivy League, and English ivy. From there we will take a short hike to a group of work sites in Forest Park. Along the way you will see first hand the result of years of ivy removal in these areas: the rebound of native species and increased biodiversity. Our three target areas (Holman Meadow, Aspen Trailhead, and Belgrave) have received extensive removal focus by the No Ivy League, leaving the area free from mature ivy. However, an effort is still needed to maintain the foothold of native plants. Join us on October 5!

Address

2960 NW Upshur Portland, Oregon 97210

Additional Notes

Parking is limited at the Lower Macleay trailhead; please consider carpooling, biking, or using TriMet (15, 17 & 77 to Montgomery Park).
