Portland Housing Bureau (PHB) will hold an open application period for the 2013 Multiple-Unit Limited Tax Exemption (MULTE) Program starting next month. This year, PHB is again making available up to $1,000,000 of estimated and projected foregone revenue. Both rental and for-sale projects are invited to apply. To be eligible to apply for the MULTE, developers must not have applied for building permits yet. Program guidelines are available here. The full administrative rules are available here.

Application Period Opens: Monday, April 15, 2013, at which time the announcement packet and application materials will be available.

Application Deadline: Friday, May 31, 2013 at 3 p.m. (PDT)

Estimated Approval of Exemptions: Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013

If PHB approves less than the program cap of estimated foregone revenue, it is likely there will be another application announcement in the fall.
