Policies & Street Classifications
The Pedestrian Coordinator works with other sections and bureaus to ensure that city codes and policies promote pedestrian travel, improve pedestrian safety and eliminate barriers to walking. The coordinator also develops plans to improve the pedestrian network. These plans identify and prioritize places that need walkways, curb ramps and links to transit, identify funding sources, and recommended strategies to build improvements.
