Director Tom Miller
Tom Miller is Director of the Portland Bureau of Transportation, where he leads the bureau's efforts to provide a transportation system that is safe, efficient and sustainable. A member of the Oregon State Bar, Tom previously served as chief of staff to Mayor (and Transportation Commissioner) Sam Adams.
Mr. Miller arrived in Portland in 1998 to attend Lewis & Clark Law School. As a daily commuter, he quickly developed an appreciation for Portland's commitment to safe and effective travel for all people across all modes of transportation.
Miller lives in Southeast Portland with his wife and two children, where on any given day the family's personal travel could include foot, automobile, bus, bicycle, scooter, skateboard, light rail or streetcar.
