International Walk + Bike to School Day

1000s of Portland Families, Millions of Families around the World -- Join the Movement!

1st Wednesday of October

2011 Walk + Bike to School Day Celebration @ Prescott School (NE 105th & Precott)

In 2011, 77 Portland schools participated in International Walk + Bike to School Day.  Join thousands of Portland families, and millions around the world, by walking or rolling to school the first Wednesday of October each year.

International Walk + Bike to School Day provides an opportunity for students and families to arrive at school alert and ready to learn, and to build school community at the same time.

The Safe Routes to School program offers workshops to assist in organizing the day, planning materials, prizes for students, and 1-on-1 support as requested.
