TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Bridge resurfacing to close lanes on NE Columbia Blvd bridge over NE 33rd Drive Bridge

New epoxy coating will provide a skid and water resistant surface 

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that bridge deck resurfacing will require lane closures on a Northeast Columbia Boulevard bridge over Northeast 33rd Drive beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, through 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, all hours and all days. Crews will clean and seal the deck and apply two layers of epoxy coating to provide a skid and water resistant surface for the bridge and extend its life. 

The traveling public is advised to expect delays, travel cautiously around the work zone, and observe detours and lane closures. 

One lane of travel in each direction will remain open at all times. Southbound Northeast 33rd Drive will be detoured at Northeast Argyle Street to Northeast 21st Avenue to Northeast Columbia Boulevard. 

This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
