6804-01 Crime Prevention Historic & Policy Development Records

Series is used to provide historical perspective and outlines how crime issues have been dealt with in the past. Series may suggest organizational approaches on how to deal with various issues and problems. Series is used to develop successful blueprint for future issues. Records include statistics, reports, correspondence, task force records, fliers, news clippings, etc. Examples of issues include housing, immigration, prostitution, sex offenses, drug houses, drug houses, drug dealing, drug treatment, liquor outlets, gangs, etc.

6804-02 Neighborhood Problem Records

Series is created to gather information about neighborhood concerns, complaints, incidents and problem sites. Series is used to create a log of events to follow up and provide solutions to neighborhood problems. Records include logs, correspondence, personal information, problem identification information, address of problem site, background data, etc.

6804-03 Crime Prevention Community Organization Records

Series is used to document activities of citizens to protect and watch their neighborhoods. Neighborhood programs are created to provide a presence and report problems as a deterrent to criminal activity. Records may include names, contact information, names of neighborhood members, training information, equipment purchase/loaned, maps volunteer hours, patrol schedules, significant incidents, etc. Series includes but is not limited to neighborhood watch program, citizen foot patrols, neighborhood patrols, block watches, business district patrols, park patrols, enhanced safety properties, public safety action committees, and other similar programs.

6804-04 Good Neighbor & Partnership Agreements

Series is created to document written agreements that address problems that affect the parties involved. Agreements set a tone of cooperation and are used to define the roles and responsibilities of each partner. Records include copies of agreements, correspondence, background data, etc.
