7706 COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING & DISTRICT PLANNING

7706-04   Comprehensive Plan Records

Series is created to meet state and regional requirements to develop, maintain, and carry out a city comprehensive plan. Records include plan components and supporting documents. Plan components are the goals, policies, objectives, maps, and lists of projects that comprise the plan. Supporting documents contain the findings of fact and evidence submitted to the State of Oregon and Metro demonstrating that city plan components comply with state and regional law; including state acknowledgement and periodic review obligations and regional functional plan requirements. Supporting documents also include final orders of state and regional agencies, and the courts, affirming plan compliance.

7706-09   Historic Resource Inventory (HRI)

Series is used to document City's existing and potential historic landmarks and districts. Series is created to track properties that may have a historical significance. Data includes street address, legal description, neighborhood association, original function, date built, style, original and present owner, tax account number, zoning, ranking, historical significance, bibliography, historical score, photo and other related information. 

Retention: Until superseded or obsolete. Subject to archival review prior to destruction.

7706-10   Planning Project Records

Examples of projects include community, neighborhood, and area plans; design guidelines; environmental studies and plans; cultural and historic resource studies and plans; and economic and industrial analyses and development plans. Records include plans, reports, zoning code maps and changes, correspondence, drawings, and other similar records, as well as brochures, agendas, workshop material, surveys, memos, correspondence, public meeting notices, minutes, and handouts.

7706-13   Annexation Rezoning

Records documenting the annexation of areas into municipal boundaries. Used to fulfill legal requirements and document the acquisition process. May include staff reports, petitions, service district withdrawal records, surveys, boundary commission recommendations and judgments, census reports, franchise notices, maps, and documentation and correspondence.
