Some college but mostly on the job training

Began civil engineering career at ODOT learning as a Jr Engineer about building roadways. Acquired LSIT (Land Surveyor in Training) Certificate while at ODOT. I then came to City of Portland at the Water Bureau as a Engineer II/CAD Tech. I spent 8 years as a CAD Tech before moving over to design for Water Bureau. Acquired my EIT during the 4 years in design. I then moved over to Portland Parks & Recreation through an opportunity to promote to Engineer Associate and have been here for 4 1/2 years. My acquired engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities have been acquired through work and augmented with some college classes. I have also spent 4 1/2 years as the President for the COPPEA union and over 10 years as a Steward for the same union. I have also been a COPPEA representative on multiple LMCs (Labor/Management Committees) and the LMBC (Labor/Management Benefits Committee).

3. Look out for the underdog

Personal passions:
Family, outdoors, gardening, sharing times with friends, visiting with grandkids. I also like to play pool (billiards), movies, and reading.
