    New PortlandMaps.Com Building Permit Search

    In an effort to improve public access and the usability of building permit information contained in the Portland Maps website, the City of Portland Bureau of Technology Services and the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) launched a new Advanced Permit Search Function.

    Inclusionary Housing Zoning Code Project

    The Planning and Sustainability Commission (PSC) will hold a briefing on October 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM followed by a public hearing on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM where community members can testify in-person. The PSC will hold a work session on November 8, 2016 from 12:30-4:30 PM.

    During the rainy season, between October 1st and April 30th, ground-disturbing construction work requires an elevated level of attention.

    New Online Map of Residential Demolition Data

    In an effort to improve access to public information that is of interest to the community, the City of Portland Bureau of Development Services recently launched a Residential Demolitions Map of demolition permit activity within the City of Portland.

    Deconstruction Requirements Effective October 31, 2016

    The new deconstruction requirements become effective October 31, 2016. Demolition permit applications deemed complete prior to October 31st are not subject to this new requirement.

    Permit Submittals that include Copyright Notices

    In an effort to partner with the design community and adhere to copyright laws, BDS will no longer accept these plans unless the plans reflect all requirements noted on them, including red stamps where indicated.

    UPDATED September 12, 2016: Historic Resource Inventory (HRI) Buildings and Demolition Delay Policy Effective September 1, 2016

    After further review the Bureau of Development Services has determined that the 120 day delay period in ORS 197.722 applies to all permit types, not only demolition permits.
