The new tree regulations (including Title 11 Trees) originally scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2013, are postponed until January 1, 2015.
The new tree regulations are a comprehensive update to how the City regulates tree removal, pruning, and planting on both public and private property. New tree regulations will apply to property when no development is proposed, and will apply to new construction projects and changes to existing development. A number of customer service improvements will be available to help customers navigate the new rules, including designated staff that will be available to answer questions as well as a tree website to provide online support.
Please visit the Citywide Tree Project Website link below to review the upcoming regulations and related documents. If you have any questions about the new regulations email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your interest in the Citywide Tree Project.
A serious security vulnerability known as "Heartbleed" was recently discovered in OpenSSL, a popular software library commonly used by many websites on the internet to encrypt communication between a user's computer and a web server.
PortlandOregon.gov is NOT affected by this vulnerability as it does not use the OpenSSL software library. Please rest assured we are dedicated to protecting your security on this website.
