On Monday June 8, 2015 BDS staffers Nancy Thorington, BDS Code and Policy Analyst, and Kareen Perkins, Permitting Services Manager, attended the Concordia Neighborhood Association meeting to provide information on Demolition and Major Alteration/Addition code changes, which took effect April 20, 2015.
The BDS Bureau Assessment project has begun in earnest, with consultants from the Coraggio Group meeting with BDS employees and with internal and external focus groups to discuss the bureau’s culture, communications, and other issues related to organizational health.
On May 27th, the City Council approved Mayor Hales’ FY 2015-16 Proposed Budget. We had requested General Fund monies to support all of these items, but City Council directed us to use internal program resources instead.
July 9, 2015. The Bureau of Development Services has announced a search for interested citizens to fill upcoming vacancies on the City of Portland Design Commission.
