BDS is beginning work on its budget request for Fiscal Year 2013-14 (July 2013 – June 2014). All City bureaus will be required to submit their budget requests by early February 2013.
As in years past, we have convened a Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) composed of stakeholders, community members, and BDS staff. We are also involving our Labor Management Committee (LMC), the Development Review Advisory Committee (DRAC), and employees in our budget development process. These groups are reviewing our financial information and giving us recommendations on budget decisions. In addition, we recently met with our Financial Advisory Committee to discuss economic trends and receive input on our financial projections.
The BAC held its first meeting on October 28th, BAC meetings are open to the public, and we welcome participation by all interested parties.
