2012 Holiday Closure Schedule

Recognizing our business and community partners’ reliance on the services and resources we provide, the Bureau of Development Services is providing advance notice of its Holiday closure schedule. The Development Services Center is closed on Mondays as well as the dates identified below. As we draw closer to some of these closure dates, additional notification will be provided.

  • Monday, November 12, 2012 (Veterans’ Day Holiday, Observed)
    The Bureau of Development Services will be closed.

  • November 22 and 23, 2012 (Thanksgiving Holiday, Observed)
    The Bureau of Development Services will be closed.

  • Tuesday, December 25, 2012 (Christmas Day Holiday, Observed)
    The Bureau of Development Services will be closed.

  • Monday, December 24 through Wednesday December 26, 2012
    The Development Services Center (1st Floor) and Permitting Services (2nd Floor) will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. All other Bureau of Development Services Offices will be open Monday and Wednseday for regular business and requested daily inspections will be performed.

Portland Bureau of Transportation parking permits (Temporary Use of the Public Right-of-Way) may be obtained from the Development Services Center (Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM). If you need PBOT Parking permit assistance outside these days/times, call 503.823.7365.

  • Tuesday, January 1, 2013 (New Year’s Day Holiday, Observed)
    The Bureau of Development Services will be closed.

Access to the Portland State University Underground Parking Garage located below the Development Services Center will be limited to monthly parking pass holders only during the observed holidays listed above and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day Holidays. There are three commercial surface parking lots within a block of the 1900 Building - one directly across SW 4th Ave. and two at the intersection of SW 4th Ave. & SW Harrison St. - as well as metered parking on several, streetssurrounding.

Heartbleed Security Notice

A serious security vulnerability known as "Heartbleed" was recently discovered in OpenSSL, a popular software library commonly used by many websites on the internet to encrypt communication between a user's computer and a web server.

PortlandOregon.gov is NOT affected by this vulnerability as it does not use the OpenSSL software library. Please rest assured we are dedicated to protecting your security on this website.
