As part of Mayor Hales Fiscal Year 2013-2014 budget process (effective July 1), the Noise Control Office was formally assigned to the Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI). This change is a way to improve coordination between the Livability Programs which are implemented by ONI, such as the Liquor License program.
The official transition from the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) to ONI took place the week of September 3, 2013.
Effective September 3, 2013, all Noise Control Office duties will be performed by the Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI). The Noise Hotline 503-823-7350 and their services will remain the same:
- Noise Variance Applications
- Noise complaint inquiries
- Monthly Noise Review Board Meetings
- Noise Meter check-out
