The Information Technology Advancement Project (ITAP) is the City’s technology initiative to move the City's development review process to a paperless system. The paperless process will allow online access to the City bureaus' permitting and case services.
Proof of Concept (POC)
The Proof of Concept (POC), which will demonstrate that the proposed system components can meet all of the City’s functional needs, is scheduled to be complete by the end of December. This partially configured version of the software elements will include up to twelve application and permit types, which are representative of the breadth and depth of the City’s development review and enforcement activities.
ITAP Team Training
In October and November the ITAP Team has had introductory trainings on Infor Public Sector software (IPS, previously “Hansen”) and Project Dox software (electronic plan review). These trainings help prepare the team to engage in developing detailed specification documents for all permit types during Phase Two. Additionally, the core group of technical staff for the ITAP Team completed advanced trainings that give them the tools to work alongside Team Sierra (the vendor), as it configures the permitting software according to the specific requirements of the City of Portland.
