Wastewater Treatment
The Wastewater group operates Portland's wastewater collection and treatment system. Solids removed during the sewage treatment process are recyled into biosolides, a beneficial soil amendment. The Wastewater group monitors, operates, and maintains nearly 100 sewage pump stations, the Columbia Boulevard and Tryon Creek wastewater treatment plants, and the sanitary sewage and stormwater collection system.
