Odors are usually not perceptible beyond the boundaries of the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant .

Occasionally, plant maintenance projects on odor control equipment will release odors that may be perceptible in neighborhoods surrounding the plant.

Environmental Services issues advance notices of maintenance projects that may result in odors outside the plant’s boundaries. On this page, you can:

Today, 6 May 2013, as part of our regular summer maintenance program we are taking down final clarifier #6. This is to allow our maintenance staff to inspect and repair the tanks and installed equipment in the tanks. We are cleaning the tanks as we take them down. Final clarifier #6 should be cleaned and not posing an odor risk by Thursday 9 May 2013. This tanks will be off line for around two weeks.
