Community Watershed Stewardship Program provides grants of up to $10,000 to help Portlanders address challenges faced by their neighborhoods and communities, while also improving the health of our urban environment. For more information about the kinds of projects CWSP funds, see Types of Projects.
For comprehensive information about the application process including full instructions, selection criteria, and resources, see the Grant Guide.
Applying for a CWSP grant is a two-stage process:
Those interested in applying for a CWSP grant submit a grant pre-application.
Pre-applications are due by 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015.
A grant review committee reviews the pre-applications. CWSP will then invite selected applicants to submit a full application.
Full applications will be due by 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015.
CWSP is committed to supporting applicants throughout the process, so don’t let limited grant-writing or environmental experience stop you from applying!
CWSP will be holding three grant writing workshops that are free and open to everyone. This is an opportunity to learn more about CWSP grants, our application process, and general grant writing tips. Bring your ideas and your questions!
If none of these times work for you, don’t hesitate to contact the CWSP Coordinator directly.
If you have questions about the grant program or past projects, or have an idea for a project of your own, contact Stewardship Coordinator Rosa Lehman at 503-823-7917, or send a message to the CWSP team.
