Become a Green Street Steward!                                                      

Community members have asked how they can participate in the care and maintenance of Portland's Green Streets. Environmental Services has responded with the Green Street Steward program. If you live, work or run a business in Portland you can qualify to be a part of this pioneering initiative.

Role of Green Street Steward

The city takes care of Green Streets and welcomes your help. As a Green Street Steward you can partner with the city and lend assistance with simple activities that include picking up trash, removing leaves and debris, and occasional weeding and watering.

Becoming a Green Street Steward

When you sign up to become a Green Street Steward, you will be directed through a series of steps including:

• Create a personal account on portlandoregon.gov
• Review the 'Green Street Steward's Maintenance Guide' for safety information and maintenance tips
• Accept the Green Street Steward disclaimer
• Select a Green Street to adopt!
