Upper Hillsdale I&I Pilot Project Survey

Thank you for participating in the City of Portland’s recent Upper Hillsdale Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) Pilot Project. We would like to get your feedback about your participation in the project.

The city is designing two other I&I pilot projects and your responses to this survey will help us improve our communications with residents in the other pilot project areas.
1. In November, we sent you a brochure about the I&I Pilot Projects. Do you think that the brochure gave you enough information about the project?
2. We have communicated with you by newsletter, in person, by email and by telephone. On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best, which methods were the most successful in getting you the information you needed in order to make a decision about your participation?

For future projects, the city is considering requesting that property owners grant the city an easement over their new sewer lateral for up to ten years. The sewer easement from the house to the public sewer line in the street would be 15 to 20 feet wide.
Basically, in exchange for repairing or constructing a new sewer lateral, the city would ask for a 10-year easement over the sewer lateral for access and maintenance. The city would provide certain maintenance activities for any property owners who agree to the easement.
