The Industrial Pretreatment Program issues batch discharge permits to businesses and projects that are required to discharge wastewater to the sanitary sewer system. The discharges are typically of limited duration and related to a specific site and operation. Examples include construction de-watering, grey water from concession activities and building power washing. The authorization to discharge is contingent on meeting city limits and not contributing to a sewer overflow. There are specific limits to volume, rate of discharge and a "dry weather only" provision.
