The biophilia hypothesis is that humans have an innate need to connect with the natural world. Dr. Timothy Beatley, author of the book Biophilic Cities, will discuss cities around the world that are turning to nature to meet urban challenges. Dr. Beatley is a sustainable city planning expert and a sustainable communities professor at the University of Virginia School of Architecture.
