Environmental Services is designing a project to extend a sewer line in SW Terwilliger Boulevard between SW Powers Court and Highway 43. The project will construct 6,800 feet of eight-inch gravity sewer from the Terwilliger Pump Station at SW Powers Court and SW Terwilliger Boulevard south to the Tryon Interceptor at Riverside Drive near the Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The Terwilliger Pump Station pumps wastewater through sewers in the Dunthorpe-Riverdale neighborhood to the Tryon Creek plant. Environmental Services will iimprove the system by extending the gravity sewer line in SW Terwilliger Boulevard to the Tryon interceptor sewer to carry wastewater to the treatment plant.

The project is approaching the final phase of design and is anticipated to start construction in fall 2013.
