The 4-County Cooperative Weed Management Area and its member organizations will be offering free classes on the identification, prevention and control of ten invasive plant species that property owners in the region might encounter. The classes will emphasize integrated pest management principles in addressing these species. Five classes at different locations will be offered.
The Bureau of Environmental Services has long recognized the connection between the sustainable management of stormwater and the types of vegetation growing in both our natural and urban areas. As a member of the 4-County Cooperative Weed Management Area, BES and its partners attempt to protect and restore ecosystem services through the control and eradication of invasive species.
