Oaks Bluff Revegetation Project

The Oaks Bluff Restoration Project removed invasive plants and restored native plants along the eastern bank of the Willamette River. During the project invasives were removed on seven acres and over 3,800 native trees and shrubs were planted. There is ongoing invasive and plant control and plant maintanance continued through 2012. The project spans from south of the Ross Island Bridge to the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. This is some of the most valuable Oregon oak woodland and floodplain riparian and wetland habitat in this reach of the lower Willamette river.
