South Ash Creek project mapEnvironmental Services is working with Portland Parks & Recreation on a stream enhancement project in the portion of Dickinson Park known as the South Ash Natural Area/Taylor’s Woods. The project will stabilize the stream channel, improve in-stream habitat and protect sanitary sewer infrastructure. The city will replant native plants in areas disturbed during construction.

The city will coordinate the work with the Crestwood Neighborhood Association, Dickinson Park Stewards, and neighbors. Construction is scheduled in summer 2012 when water levels are low.
