Description of Duties: The Transportation Work Study Intern position in Street Systems serves the Street Systems, Development Review, and Permit Engineering staff in both the technical and clerical areas relating to a variety of projects. Duties and tasks include:
Purge Construction Files of completed projects. File contents are reviewed and non-essential documents are removed and discarded.
Prepare Files for Microfilm. File contents are reviewed and certain key documents are identified for the permanent project record. These key documents are assembled for microfilming. A microfilm order is placed and the documents are shipped for microfilming. When documents are returned, most of the file materials are discarded.
Various General Office Duties: Filing, data input, mail (incoming and outgoing), Word documents including mailing list and labels, copy and sort documents. Perform other general office maintenance.
General office skills.
Ability to work productively with different departments.
Ability to work independently.
Work Schedule: Flexible according to your academic schedule. Variable during business house of Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. Prefered 10 to 15 hour commitment a week.
