Diversity, Outreach, Recruitment and Special Event Calendar

The Bureau of Human Resources' Diversity, Outreach and Employment Resources (DOER) participates in a variety of diversity, outreach, recruitment and other special events to attract and connect with talented individuals. Bureaus are encouraged to attend these events to network, identify qualified candidates and educate job seekers interested in available career opportunities at the City of Portland. We will update this event calendar frequently as we receive information on upcoming career fair schedules and diversity events. Please check back often.

2014 Northwest Public Employees Diversity Conference (NWPEDC)

Annual conference to address the needs of public employees and the communities they serve. There are 19 sponsoring governmental agencies participating in the 2104 NWPEDC.

The 2014 NWPEDC will be our 21st annual event. The event is proudly sponsored by City of Portland, Multnomah County, Clackamas County, Portland Development Commission, Washington County, Metro, Clark County, Portland Public Schools, Home Forward, Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Port of Portland, the Oregon Lottery®, TriMet, City of Hillsboro, Oregon Health Authority, City of Beaverton, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Bonneville Power Administration and Portland State University.

The conference’s collaboration presents a unique opportunity to cross diverse boundaries for a common purpose of promoting our diversity values of inclusiveness, respectful work environments, equal opportunity for all, and culturally responsive service.
