Keynote Speaker 8:50 – 9:50 am: The Future of Safety is in Your Hands

Steve Clem, Vice President of Preconstruction, Skanska Construction and President, SafeBuild Alliance

Steve is the Vice President of Preconstruction for Skanska’s Oregon Office and has been a Skanska employee his entire 16-year career. He has worked in a wide variety of markets, including high-tech manufacturing, healthcare, and education. He has a passion for both safety and sustainability and believes they have an important link. He is a Northwest native, studied at theUniversity ofPuget Sound and theUniversity ofOregon.

Co-Keynote Speaker - Dan (“DJ”) Johnson, Vice President of Construction, Skanska Construction

Dan has worked in the Construction Industry for over 30 years. Dan has a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington. He has managed a wide variety of projects across the Western US.  Dan has a sincere passion for “working without injury” and has been instrumental in the initiation and growth of “Injury-Free” workplaces.

Dennis Curtis, CSM, Senior General Manager, Clackamas Town Center

Mr. Curtis has been a shopping mall manager for 25 years. Prior to coming toClackamasTownCenterin 2010 he managed malls inCorvallis,Albany, andSalem,Oregon.  Mr. Curtis is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation and the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce.

Sheriff Craig Roberts, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office

Born and raised inClackamasCounty, Craig Roberts has risen through the ranks of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office over the past 30 years.  After starting out as a Reserve Deputy, he has served as a member of SWAT, Undercover Narcotics Investigator and a Major Crimes Detective.
