Chris Lowen, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Glumac
Chris Lowen brings passion for building energy optimization to his work at Glumac. As an energy analyst driving energy and building services concepts, he applies his background in commissioning, energy auditing and mechanical engineering to both the new and existing built environments. As the Northern Region Energy Director for Glumac's energy group, Chris focuses on developing measurement and verification techniques to engage tenants with their energy impacts and to better understand building energy use to guide future building design.
Kate Turpin, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, SERA Architects
Associate, Integrated Design Specialist
Kate is a key advisor on SERA's high-performance building projects, bringing nine years of experience in the areas of energy and water performance, thermal comfort and indoor air quality. She connects and integrates the work of mechanical engineering consultants within architectural teams, while helping SERA take a deeper role in understanding, tracking and enhancing energy performance on projects. She is an experienced energy performance analyst and mechanical engineer with expertise in superior indoor environmental quality. Kate serves as co-chair of Cascadia Green Building Council's Portland Branch and is an adjunct faculty member at University of Oregon's Department of Architecture.
