"Reduce Your Foodprint"
The city invites all environmental and sustainability groups to be part of Portland’s World Environment Day celebration by scheduling events in the six weeks between Earth Day on April 22nd and World Environment Day on June 5th.
Nonprofits, businesses, schools, agencies and individuals can add their scheduled activities to the events calendar at http://www.portlandoregon.gov/WED, Portland’s World Environment Day website.
This celebration will focus international attention on the many efforts in Portland to protect and enhance the environment. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and be recognized for all the good work happening in Portland every day. The UNEP global theme is Reduce Your Foodprint. Activities focused on reducing food waste are especially encouraged!
