The Mixed Use Zones Project will develop new mixed use planning and zoning designations to implement the “Centers and Corridors” concepts that emerged from The Portland Plan and the Comprehensive Plan Update planning processes. The project is focused on revising the city’s Commercial and Central Employment (EX) zones for area outside of the Central City. This project is supported by a Construction Excise Tax (CET) grant from Metro. In addition, the Portland Bureau of Transportation will work closely with the Mixed Use Zones Project team and will examine parking management policy through a concurrent Centers and Corridors Parking Analysis and Toolkit project.
