This project will develop new mixed use planning and zoning designations to implement the “Centers and Corridors” concepts that emerged from the Portland Plan and the Comprehensive Plan Update planning processes. The project will focus on revising the city’s Commercial and Central Employment (EX) zones that are applied outside the Central City. This project is supported by a Construction Excise Tax (CET) grant from Metro. The Portland Bureau of Transportation will work closely with the Mixed Use Zones Project team and will examine parking management policy through a concurrent project.

A serious security vulnerability known as "Heartbleed" was recently discovered in OpenSSL, a popular software library commonly used by many websites on the internet to encrypt communication between a user's computer and a web server.
PortlandOregon.gov is NOT affected by this vulnerability as it does not use the OpenSSL software library. Please rest assured we are dedicated to protecting your security on this website.
