Northwest Parking Update Project

Finding parking in the Northwest business district and surrounding neighborhoods is a challenge most days. In 2013, the City of Portland adopted the NW Parking Management Plan (NWPMP) to manage and improve access to on-street parking in the district. The Northwest Parking Update Project will create additional tools and provisions within the Northwest Plan District area to support the parking needs of residents, businesses and customers in this high-demand parking environment.

The Northwest Parking Update Project will update zoning code regulations that currently allow private off-street accessory parking to be used commercially. It will also align minimum parking requirements in the Northwest Plan District area with existing citywide regulations.
