The West Quadrant Charrette wrapped up last week and the event was well-attended and produced some exciting ideas. From June 10-14 around 100 attendees and the project team worked together to produce and refine subarea concepts, policy diagrams, quadrant-wide concepts and brainstorm implementation actions. There were also two open houses during the week. The closing open house on Friday, June 14 included an overview of the week’s drawings as well as some big ideas and directions. West Quadrant project manager Karl Lisle presented the West Quadrant Charrette Final Presentation. The results from the West Quadrant Charrette will be presented and discussed at the next Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting #5 on July 15. After this meeting and over the summer the project team will generate a draft West Quadrant Plan concept with some alternatives and present it at SAC Meeting #6 on September 16. It is anticipated the SAC will spend several meetings refining the concept prior to moving into the draft plan development phase of the process early next year.
