The FPC studied the impact of Measure 37 on our local food system and advised Portland City Council and the Multnomah County Commission regarding food security and the importance of protecting valuable farmland. Of particular concern is the more immediate metropolitan area, including the viability of farms on Sauvie Island and Western Washington County as well as eastern Multnomah County and Clackamas County.
