School Food: The Spork Report
The Spork Report, Increasing the Supply and Consumption of Local Foods in Portland Public Schools, was created by a team of PSU undergraduate students for Community Food Matters and the FPC. The research goal was to identify access barriers and opportunities for the use of regional and sustainable food products in local institutional food service programs. The students interviewed key industry leaders and examined related programs in Washington. The Spork report identified 12 objectives and additional action steps.
