Contents of Update Packet #133 (effective 7/31/09) This Code update is the result of Ordinance No. 182962, passed 07/01/09, which establishes a new Original Art Mural regulatory and permitting program. Code Update Packet: 133 Effective Date: July 31, 2009 Contact: Phil Nameny, 503-823-7709 Amends Chapters: 420, 445, 663, 730, 930 Substantive Changes: Amends Title 33, Planning and Zoning, Sections 33.420.045, 33.445.320, and 33.445.420. Currently, there are two ways that murals can be installed in the City. The first is through the City's Public Art Mural Program which is administered by the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC). Through this program, murals can gain funding and are incorporated into the City's public art collection. Murals that do not go through the City's Public Art Program are regulated as signs through Title 32, Signs and Related Regulations.
