BPS has found social media — have you? Several programs and projects within our bureau are learning that social media can be an effective communications tool to reach out to more residents and businesses. In recent months, Portland Plan’s Facebook and Twitter accounts have helped to spread the word about Portland Plan workshops, survey opportunities and related reading. BPS’ sustainable food program has promoted the Urban Growth Bounty 2010 educational series, and the BEST Business Center and Green Building Hotline keep their “friends” informed about the latest news from their programs.
