The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is responsibility for updating the City’s Environmental Planning Program and meeting requirements of the Statewide Land Use Goals: 5 Significant Natural Resources and 6 Air, Water and Land Quality. The program also contributes toward City compliance with Metro Titles 3 and 13, the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act; and informs discussions about community goals and actions to achieve those goals. Primary activities include developing and updating natural resource inventories, environmental overlay zone maps and regulations.
