On March 9th, the Portland City Council heard public testimony and provided direction on potential amendments to the Citywide Tree Project Recommended Draft to Council (dated December 2010).

• The amendments were proposed for consideration by several Council members and City staff.
• The amendments addressed a host of topics including the proposed tree development standards, private tree removal permit, street tree pruning permit, and programmatic permit.
• After acting on the amendments Council directed staff to draft code language and return on the morning of April 6th for a vote.
• Council agreed to accept written testimony on the amendments for an additional week (through March 16, 2011).
