City Council calls for Amendments to the Tree Project Proposal
On March 9th, the Portland City Council heard public testimony and provided direction on potential amendments to the Citywide Tree Project Recommended Draft to Council (dated December 2010).
- The amendments were proposed for consideration by several Council members and City staff.
- The amendments addressed a host of topics including the proposed tree development standards, private tree removal permit, street tree pruning permit, and programmatic permit.
- After acting on the amendments Council directed staff to draft code language and return on the morning of April 6th for a vote.
- Council agreed to accept written testimony on the amendments for an additional week (through March 16, 2011).
