Come gather with neighbors and community groups on Saturday, June 25 to celebrate the new Cully Boulevard street improvements. Residents can take a walk, roll or bike while talking with City staff about the future of the Cully Main Street area and local transportation issues in Cully. The "Roll and Stroll" starts at the "five corners" - Cully Blvd./Prescott/57th/60th - and goes from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Adults, families and neighbors can also enjoy community booths, refreshments and opportunities to meet and greet others.
The Roll and Stroll is the kick-off event for the Cully Main Street and Local Street Plans project, a one-year project to improve zoning to allow more opportunities for neighborhood-serving retail and services in the heart of Cully, as well as provide a local street plan for the neighborhood. The transportation piece will identify future opportunities for street connections and will consider new designs and funding strategies for addressing incomplete streets, based on community priorities for enhancing local circulation and safety for all.
The Roll and Stroll will offer four opportunities to walk part of the Cully Boulevard Main Street area and two opportunities to bike ride the area. An accessible van tour can be arranged if prior interest is expressed to City staff. A number of bicycles and helmets for adults and children will be available for the bike rides. Please contact Denver Igarta (503-823-1088 or email@example.com) for more information on the bike rides and/or to sign up to use a bicycle.
