If you missed the Barbur Concept Plan Open House on December 5 at Markham Elementary School, you can still view the information that was presented and share your thoughts and comments about the future of Barbur Boulevard.

The open house featured various "stations" with information boards and posters. City staff were on hand to discuss the findings from staff and consultant research and record community members' comments. Participants were encouraged to fill out a short survey.

The information gathered at the open house and from the survey will help guide the Community Working Group over the next few months in developing a long term vision as well as alternative land use concepts for the six miles of Barbur Boulevard within the City limits. The final plan, expected to be completed in December 2012, will recommend key future transportation investments, stormwater solutions, and changes to City policy and zoning for this major southwest corridor.
