About the Infrastructure Equity Policy Expert Group
The Infrastructure Equity PEG will consider infrastructure policies and investment strategies to support equitable public service provision. This PEG will foster discussions and information sharing between infrastructure service providers and equity stakeholders. This PEG may review infrastructure service levels and consider strategies or implementation tools to address or reduce critical disparities. (Implementing the Equity Framework of the Portland Plan)
Meeting Schedule
The first Infrastructure Equity PEG meeting is July 11, 2012, 10 a.m. to noon, at 1900 SW 4th Ave, Room 7A. Starting August 1, the Infrastructure Equity PEG will meet the first Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m. to noon, at 1900 SW 4th Ave, Room 2500A. For transit directions, we recommend TriMet Trip Planner. For driving and Biking directions, we recommend Google Maps. Potential Topics
The Infrastructure Equity Policy Expert Group will consider infrastructure policies and investment strategies to support equitable public service provision. Specifically, this PEG will:
- Foster discussions and information sharing between infrastructure service providers and equity stakeholders – focus on evaluation best practices/methodologies
- Evaluate growth management plans against infrastructure service availability and capital project lists
- Review infrastructure service level standards and consider strategies or implementation tools to address or reduce critical disparities (equity analysis).
Members
Community members have been chosen for their experience and ability to draw on the feedback and experiences of a larger community or constituency regarding perspectives on the topic of their PEG, and for their ability to collect feedback from that community or constituency when needed. Agency staff members have been chosen to bring an agency perspective to PEG discussions and to be able to take back and share PEG developments within their agencies, getting feedback when needed.
