About the Watershed Health and Environment Policy Expert Group
Building on the Portland Plan directions the Watershed Health and Environment PEG will refine the habitat connections concept and explore how such a network of habitat corridors and green infrastructure investments can improve watershed health and access to nature for Portlanders among other things. (Implementing the Equity Framework and Healthy Connected City strategy of the Portland Plan)
Meeting Schedule
The Watershed Health and Environment PEG will hold meetings on the following dates:
- June 18, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- July 6, 10 a.m. to noon at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- July 31, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- August 23, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, room to be determined
- September 27, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- October 24, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- November 28, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 2500A
- December: There will be no meeting in December.
- January 23, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 2500A
- February 27, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- March: There will be no meeting in March to allow members to attend Comprehensive Plan Update community workshops
- April 24, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- May 22, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A
- June 26, 4 to 6 p.m. at 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 7A

Potential Topics
The Watershed Health & Environment Policy Expert Group will focus their discussion on draft policy areas that have not already been adopted by City Council. These include:
- ecosystem functions and services
- cumulative impacts
- environmental justice
- natural hazards
- habitat corridors
- designing with nature, and
- other key topics identified by the PEG.
The PEG will also evaluate growth scenarios through a watershed health and environmental lens.
List of Members
Community members have been chosen for their experience and ability to draw on the feedback and experiences of a larger community or constituency regarding perspectives on the topic of their PEG, and for their ability to collect feedback from that community or constituency when needed. Agency staff members have been chosen to bring an agency perspective to PEG discussions and to be able to take back and share PEG developments within their agencies, getting feedback when needed.
