Blue recycling roll cart instructions

• Recycling is picked up every week. We recommend that you wait until the roll cart is at least half full before setting it out at the curb.
• Weight limit: 100 lbs
• Do not pack roll cart tightly, contents must fall out easily
• Remove empty containers from curb within 24 hours
• Do not put garbage in your recycling roll cart

YES – put these items together in your recycling roll cart
	Paper newspapers, magazines, catalogs and phone books cardboard boxes (single pieces or bundles are limited to 36” in any direction; bundle with twine or tape) scrap paper and junk mail cartons: milk, juice, soup shredded paper (must be in paper bag)
	Plastic bottles with neck smaller than base (6 oz or larger) tubs (6 oz or larger) plant pots (4 in or larger) buckets (5 gal or smaller)
	Metal aluminum, including foil tin and steel food cans empty, dry, metal paint cans and empty aerosol cans scrap metal smaller than 2 in inside cans and crimp closed (metal lids, glass bottle lids, screws and nails)

Yellow glass bin recycling instructions

YES – put these items together in your yellow, glass only bin
	glass bottles and jars mix all colors together, labels are ok

Motor oil recycling instructions

YES – you can recycle motor oil at the curb
	motor oil is accepted at the curb put in a clear plastic bottle with a screw-on lid, next to roll cart or bin don't mix with other liquids

NO – keep all of these items out of your recycling 

• plastic lids
• plastic bags
• rigid plastics including "clamshells," Tupperware, Rubbermaid, other reusable dishware
• plastic bottles that have come in contact with motor oil
• pesticides or herbicides  
• light bulbs
• drinking glasses
• ceramics
• glass flower vases
• broken glass
• books
