New – accessory dwelling unit | 2012

This compact cottage was built on a 135 ft. deep lot with a rear alley. Warm materials are featured, including a stained concrete floor, stranded bamboo flooring and a countertop crafted from a salvaged urban white oak. The ADU, with minimal power needs and a very low EPS score, is pre-wired for future solar. A garage was deconstructed and the materials salvaged for the new tool shed. The owner currently rents out the main house and lives in the cottage.
